Top 5 Athletes of All Time

OK, this is a really broad subject. It could be athletes you found inspirational or exciting. It could be athletes that rank the highest in shear athletisism. What ever you want. For me, I get more of a thrill out of people I have actually played with or have seen in person than on TV.

5. Ben Dewar (LSSU basketball.... This kid can fly, still one of the most talented players I have ever had the pleasure to play with)
4. Larry Bird Not the most athletic, but exciting to watch
3. Randy Hunt For those of you that know him, you know why he made the 3 spot on my list. pound for pound one of the most athletic, intense, and die hard athletes I know.
2. Vince Carter CRAZY athletisism
1. Michael Jordan Lets face it, he made the term "athletic" what it is today. he was the pioneer of a lot of things we see today. extremely exciting to watch.

now lets see yours

Let me preface this by saying that an athlete is more than just physical ability on the battle field. It is also a code of conduct and what is accomplished in the setting of the time.

5. Troy Rolle - A good friend of mine that played for Utah State and also helps out at the Utah Jazz training camps in the summer. A true gentleman.

4. Barry Sanders - anyone who can run that fast and still stop on a dime is amazing. Also anyone that can gain yards with the Detroit Lions O-line is talented.

3. Jim Brown - An entire football team was begun around a boy that could run circles around defenses. He also overcame racial and personal struggles.

2. Carl Lewis - Once again, a man who was able to focus and come out on top despite his surroundings even though it could have cost him his life.

1. Micheal Jordan - This IS merited on shear ability. He has excelled in not only basketball, but golf and baseball. True, he is not the elite of the other 2 sports, but I believe much better that most.

5. Gotta go with Quentin Hunt on this one. He's the only one from our group of ballers at church growing up to play college ball (that I know of), or to dunk like crazy. Go Quentin!
4. The guy from 2:34 to 2:44 of this YouTube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rccDK1VmksM - I've never ever seen someone jump that high and dunk.
3. Larry Bird - Not the greatest athletically, but a fierce competitor whose skills are up there with anyone.
2. Lebron James - He is a freak of nature. If he ever gets a consistent jump shot and free throws, it's all over.
1. Michael Jordan - 6 NBA championships, fiercest competitor I've ever seen.
